QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION:

Master's or equivalent degree in Business Administration (MBA) OR; Master's level degree in a related field OR; Bachelor's or equivalent degree and a CPA/CA designation AND a current member in good standing of CPA Canada (Chartered Professional Accountants).

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant business and industry experience.
  • Several years related teaching experience at the post-secondary level PREFERRED.
  • Excellent English communication skills required. Bilingual (English/French) candidates PREFERRED.
  • Bilingualism (English/French) and ability to teach in French are preferred, as in the context of Bill 96 and the changes to the Charte de la langue française, if there is a need, the candidate must be willing and able to teach in French.

EDUCATION:

  • BCL/JD required.
  • Bachelor's or equivalent degree in Business Administration or other related field as well as minimum 3 years legal experience OR Significant industry legal experience (5 years minimum)- Required.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 3 years business (business, finance, accounting, etc.) experience -Required
  • Minimum 2 years teaching experience -an asset
  • Bilingualism (English/French) and ability to teach in French are preferred, as in the context of Bill 96 and the changes to the Charte de la langue française, if there is a need, the candidate must be willing and able to teach in French.

The course content has changed under the program revision, and it is believed that the teacher must have high knowledge of Law to teach the course. Experience in business and accounting is an asset. Note the previous course number under the Computerized Financial Management program: 410-423-AB Law in Business

N.B. Contracts are contingent upon sufficient student enrollment in each course. Starting date, day/time and location for each course to be determined by the Centre for Continuing Education.

Note: In accordance with art. 4-4.04 of the Collective Agreement, the Selection Committee may, exceptionally, recommend to the College that pertinent additional professional and/or industrial experience be considered in lieu of the stated minimum educational requirement. Candidates to be considered under this option must have completed at least the equivalent of a DEC or AEC. Education superior to the stated minimum requirement may be substituted for professional/industrial experience at the discretion of the selection committee.
