DISCIPLINE: BIOLOGY (101) TYPE OF CONTRACT: Part-time contract representing full and/or part-time workload. N.B. This vacancy is to replace an instructor away on an authorized leave and will terminate, without prior notice, upon the return of the instructor. **AREA OF EXPERTISE:**** To teach Biology courses to students enrolled in pre-university and/or professional programs.

*QUALIFICATIONS:*

BIOLOGY (101)

• Master's or equivalent* degree in Biology
• Master's degree in a related field may be considered
• Several years related teaching experience at the post-secondary level preferred
• Ability to collaborate within a departmental team to achieve common objectives
• Excellent English communication skills essential
• A basic understanding of climate change and its biological consequences will be considered an asset
• Candidates should have a willingness to acquire knowledge of climate change causes, impacts, implications and ways to effectively respond and to reflect this appropriately in their teaching

• Bilingualism (English/French) and ability to teach in French are preferred, as in the context of Bill 96 and the changes to the Charte de la langue française, if there is a need, the candidate must be willing and able to teach in French.

• Equivalent establishes a general comparison between two official education systems
