Vanier College is seeking qualified Content Specialists who have experience in the field of Residential Building Inspection. Content specialists will be working as part of the Recognition of Acquired Competencies RAC services. The RAC process provides people with the opportunity to have their competencies gained through life or workplace experience, evaluated and recognized, allowing them to receive college credit.

Responsibilities:

  • Review, modify, and create evaluation materials and online resources;
  • Evaluate RAC candidates' skills and competencies;
  • Interview potential candidates;
  • Prepare and deliver preparatory sessions and Top-Up Learning Activities;
  • Promote RAC services.

Qualifications:

  • Mastery of competencies in Residential Building Inspection;

  • Pre-purchase residential inspections;

  • Building structure and systems;
  • Report writing and documentation;
  • Business practices in inspection services;
  • Expertise of RBQ and BNQ 3009-500 standards;
  • Undergraduate degree in appropriate field;
  • Strong understanding of competency-based evaluation methods;
  • Have training/coaching experience (preferably with adult learners),
  • Be flexible, adaptable, and available;
  • Can work autonomously and as part of a team;
  • Proficient in MS Sharepoint, MS Office Programs, Teams;
  • Strong communication and written skills in English.

*Contract work as needed, done online, evenings and weekends. Hourly Rate $ 45 - $ 60.49
