DISCIPLINE: PROFESSIONAL THEATRE AND THEATRE ARTS (560/561) (02 PRODUCTION) *TYPE OF CONTRACT: Part-time contract representing full and/or part-time workload. **AREA OF EXPERTISE:*** To teach: 561-B6T-AB Theatre Lab 2 - video design component (1 section) 561-B6N-AB IP 2: Lighting, Management, Sound & Video - Video design component (1 section) 561-B4V-AB Video 2 - team taught (1 section)

*QUALIFICATIONS:*

PROFESSIONAL THEATRE (561) AND THEATRE ARTS (560)

  • Bachelor's or equivalent* degree in Theatre Arts

OR

  • Diploma from a Conservatory School or post-secondary theatre program with extensive and specialized experience

OR

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field may be considered
  • Minimum of 3 years directly related experience in the profession
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the particular subject (s) to be taught
  • Ability to teach in other theatre areas an asset
  • Several years related teaching experience at the post-secondary level preferred
  • Ability to collaborate within a departmental team to achieve common objectives
  • Excellent English communication skills essential
  • Bilingualism (English/French) and ability to teach in French are preferred, as in the context of Bill 96 and the changes to the Charte de la langue française, if there is a need, the candidate must be willing and able to teach in French.

  • Equivalent establishes a general comparison between two official education systems
